The Sugarloaf Reservoir Circuit is a scenic, moderate grade 15km circuit that will take us through Sugarloaf Reservoir Park. This lake is absolutely stunning and we have a such a good track record on this hike of masses of kangaroos we can almost guarantee them!
Start point and End point: Ridge Picnic Area
Grade: Moderate
Average Walking duration: 3 hours 45mins
Elevation gain: 304m
Equipment: A small backpack with 1.5-2L water, sun protection and layered clothing. We aim for these to be low cost and for people not to feel like they need to deck themselves out in hundreds of dollars of gear, but a good pair of runners is necessary or even better a pair of hiking shoes or boots. The main benefit of hiking shoes will be some waterproofing, and sturdier soles for better balance and support. Hiking poles are optional and are good for adding balance and taking some load off the legs (we can teach you how to use these properly if never used before!)
Inclusions:
Full insurance for all participants
Parks Victoria Licensed guide trained as a wilderness first aid responder
Snack during and post walk
