Our Guides

As guides for 'Everyone Can Hike', we share several common values.

  1. Deep passion for adventure and nature. We believe it's essential to carve out moments of solace amidst our busy lives to reconnect with nature, reaping the physical, mental, and social benefits of group hiking.

  2. Extensive expertise, Our team comprises seasoned hikers with international and local experience, some of who have worked in outdoor retail, making us adept in equipment selection and usage (though our hikes are designed for minimal gear requirements).

  3. Our goal is to share our love for the outdoors and help you experience it just as we do!

JESS: Lead Guide

As the founder of Everyone Can Hike, this is the culmination of an extremely weird life which has brought upon my life’s passion project- helping as many people as possible reap the benefits of the outdoors.

Originally coming from a health psychology background, and volunteering in mental health I believe strongly in the physical, social, and mental health benefits of getting outdoors in a group. I am qualified as a remote and wilderness first aid responder, and a Parks Victoria Licenced guide so that you can enjoy hiking safely.

Personally, I have an avid passion for the outdoors and adventure. I have travelled to over 50 countries solo, hiked through most major mountain regions of the world, and trained with the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and Australian School of Mountaineering. With this has come the personal goal of conquering some of the highest peaks in the world.

Through these hikes I want to help foster outdoor experiences for anyone who wants to take a few hours out of the week to appreciate nature, at an enjoyable pace, and with good people. Having worked in a camping store for over 5 years I am also your go-to for any equipment questions and can provide honest recommendations to fit any budget.

CAITLIN: Supporting Guide

Caitlin is our extremely friendly and approachable local environmentalist. She is in her final year studying environmental science and has a strong passion for the management of Australia’s flora and fauna species. Her love for the outdoors has flourished a love for nature and exploring our country.

In the future, Caitlin aspires to travel around Australia while working with local community’s to help develop an awareness and understanding of the significance of environmental conservation. Her goal is to contribute actively to protecting our precious environment and the species that call it home.

LUKE: Supporting Guide

Our resident giant who’s legs make every hike seem much easier for him than for those of us a bit more vertically challenged. For Luke, hiking is all about finding adventure in our lives and living it to the fullest.

Luke is super fit and excels in the mountains (and in most sport) and with his personal training certifications is a great person to ask about training and maybe even book in a session if there is something specific you would like to work on! Having also worked within a camping store for many years, Luke is great with equipment knowledge and recommendations and last year completed one of our staff favourite treks - the 130km hike to Everest Base Camp.
