Sherbrooke Forest Circuit

Enjoy this moderately challenging, 11.6km hike through some of the best regions of Sherbrooke Forest. Look out for plenty of fantastic bird life along the way - maybe even the elusive lyrebird along Lyrebird trail. Also enjoy well-deserved views of Sherbrooke falls.

Start and end point: Grants Picnic area just off Monbulk road

Grade: Moderate

Length: 11.6km

Elevation gain: 543m

Expected walking duration: 4h

Equipment: A small backpack with 1.5-2L water, and sun protection. A good pair of runners is necessary or even better, a pair of hiking shoes or boots. The main benefit of hiking shoes will be some waterproofing, and sturdier soles for better balance and support. Hiking poles are optional and may be beneficial for steeper sections of the walk. They are good for adding balance and taking some load off the legs (and we can teach you how to use these properly if never used before!)

Inclusions:

  • Full insurance for all participants

  • Parks Victoria Licensed guide trained as a wilderness first aid responder

  • Snack during and post walk
