Discover breath-taking views of Melbourne from the city skyline to Frankston and of the Dandenong Ranges from the top of Lysterfield Hill. If you’re lucky kangaroos even frequent this grassy viewpoint at various times of the day so keep quiet as we approach for a good chance to see one of our favourite animals
Start and end point: Parking near the BBQ area of Army Track off Churchill Park Drive
Grade: Easy
Length: 6.1km
Elevation gain: 238m
Expected walking duration: 1h 54m
Equipment: A small backpack with 1L water, and sun protection. A good pair of runners is necessary or even better, a pair of hiking shoes or boots. The main benefit of hiking shoes will be some waterproofing, and sturdier soles for better balance and support. Hiking poles are optional and may be beneficial for steeper sections of the walk. They are good for adding balance and taking some load off the legs (and we can teach you how to use these properly if never used before!)
Inclusions:
Full insurance for all participants
Parks Victoria Licensed guide trained as a wilderness first aid responder
Snack during and post walk
