Lysterfield Loop takes you on a scenic 5.8km walk along the outskirts of the lake. Enjoy plenty of bird life along the beautiful trail.
Length: 5.8km
Difficulty: Beginner
Elevation gain: 148m
Duration: Approximately 1h 30m walking
Start point: Lysterfield Visitor Centre
Equipment: A small backpack with 1-1.5L water, and sun protection. A good pair of runners is necessary or even better, a pair of hiking shoes or boots. The main benefit of hiking shoes will be some waterproofing, and sturdier soles for better balance and support. Hiking poles are optional and may be beneficial for steeper sections of the walk. They are good for adding balance and taking some load off the legs (and we can teach you how to use these properly if never used before!)
Inclusions:
Full insurance for all participants
Parks Victoria Licensed guide trained as a wilderness first aid responder
Snack during and post walk
