Our Safety Precautions
At Everyone Can Hike we take safety in the outdoors extremely seriously and realise this can be one of the main reason for booking a group hike. Have a read on how we are prepared to keep you safe while you are bushwalking!
Group Structure:
The official Hiking Best Practise Guidelines dictate only one guide is required up to 23 people, and two guides for up to 43 people… We think we can do much better than this though!
You will find a lead guide only for up to 10 people
For groups 10+ there will be a supporting guide to bring up the rear so no one is lost or struggling at the back.
Groups will cap at 35 persons. Any more than this and we as guides feel we would not be able to provide the level of service and attention that Everyone Can Hike finds integral to its values.
We will stop for regular drink and snack breaks to have a break, keep hydrated and energised, and make sure the group can stay together.
Our First Aid Training and licencing
All guides are Level 2 First Aid trained as a minimum, with Lead Guides also being trained as wilderness and remote First Aid responders.
Our hikes are fully insured if an accident or injury was to occur.
Hikes have been mapped detailing access points for emergency vehicles.
